Except for the white tail of the female bird, all other body feathers are black with a blue green metallic luster The iris is grayish brown, the skin of the laryngeal sac is stone blue, and the side is pale blue with a purple black band.The crested hornbill is distributed abroad in the northeast of the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and the Greater Sunda Islands. It can also be seen in the southeast of Xizang, China.
