This house sitting on top of a steep hill at 1254 to 1256 Montgomery Street in San Francisco is one of the very few in the Telegraph Hill neighborhood that survived the 1906 Earthquake. The location originally had a windmill that burned 1861, this home was then started shortly after that. Originally intended to be a two floor home, it started out as only one floor, with the second floor added in the 1890`s. In 1979 it was added to the list of National Register of Historic Places. As seen 7 December 2022.
