This is a Yucatan gray squirrel, a Sciurus yucatanensis species, Sciuridae family. It is a tree squirrel found in the Yucatan Peninsula, Belize and Guatemala. They are active during the day and spend most of their time in trees. This one was eating little bananas. Observed at Cerro Cahuà Protected Biotope, Petén department, Guatemala.
