Historic Yorkville Firehall and Public Library is located west of Yonge Street on the north side of Yorkville Avenue. It is one of the surviving buildings from 1890 in the old village of Yorkville and is built of soft yellow brick, made in the Yorkville Brickyards. Modern condominiums surround the firehall but it continues to service the community in its designated capacity as a fire station.
