Wood Norton Hotel is a grade 2 listed Victorian Stately home originally built for the Duke D`Orleans who was pretender to the French crown. During WWII it was home to the BBC`s monitoring service and a main broadcasting centre. After the war it was used as the BBC technical training centre and a secret nuclear bunker was built under one of the buildings. Subsequently sold it is now used as a hotel.
