Wisch Castle is a privately inhabited castle in Terborg, municipality of Oude IJsselstreek (formerly: the municipality of Wisch) in the Achterhoek, in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is also known as Huis Wisch. The earliest known mention of a "Castrum Wische" comes from a charter from the year 1285 according to some, that year refers to the new house of Wisch,[1][2] according to others to the old house of Wisch.[3][4][5] Since the fourteenth century, Wisch Castle has been the center of the Wisch manor, one of the four banners that fell under the county of Zutphen. Wisch Castle retained its glorious rights until 1813.
