Dallas Divide is an iconic high mountain pass in Southwestern Colorado. It is famous for colorful autumn scenes of aspen forests agains the rugged peaks of the San Juans. While most often photographed in the fall, Dallas Divide also makes for a delightful winter mountain landscape. Here, black and white adds the perfect touch to the already stark winter environment and sweeping afternoon clouds add some drama to the blue sky.
