The Chutes Wilson pulp mill was one of the first major companies to set up shop in Saint-Jérôme. For more than 75 years, this plant provided employment mainly to people from Le Cordon Lafontaine sector. Wood-based paper pulp was produced there to make cardboard, wrapping paper or newsprint.
