A bronze statue of William Marshal, an Anglo-Norman knight, was unveiled in Pembroke, Wales, UK, in May 2022, situated just below Pembroke Castle. The statue was created by Harriet Addyman of Narberth. There was some controversy about its creation, as some historians describe the man as a `medieval oppressor`. Local people however are pleased with the statue, though they point out that he is riding his horse without looking where he is going, and appears instead to be texting on his phone.
