The ajeran plant (Bidens pilosa L) is also known as ambong-ambong (Malay), ketul-ketul kebo, ketul sapi (Java), cinglancingan (Madura), hareuga (Sunda). and rai-raisu (Maluku). The roots, leaves and stems can be used for external and internal treatment. Pounded and boiled ajeran can be used to relieve itching and bruising. Meanwhile, boiled water can be drunk to treat fever, diarrhea, rheumatism, meningitis, toothache, hemorrhoids and appendicitis.
