The watermills of Valea Rudariei, District Caras-Severin, Romania, are a testimony of the traditional technology in Banat. A number of 22 mills along the water course, inside and outside the village, still exists. The mills are operated by a horizontal wheel system, a precursor of modern hydro-power technique.
