Amicalola Falls, Georgia, is a 729 foot waterfall on Amicalola Creek in Dawson, County, Georgia. It is the centerpiece of Amicalola Falls State Park, located about 1 1/2 hours north of Atlanta, Ga. It is the highest waterfall in Georgia. The hike to the bottom of the falls is easy, so it can be enjoyed by kids and adults alike. Also, just above the falls is the beginning point of the Appalachian Trail at Springer Mountain.
