Water strider is a small Aquatic insect commonly found in lakes, ponds, paddy fields and wetlands. Generally, people live in still water and often gather in groups on the water surface. The reason why water striders can float on the water surface is due to the special micro nano groove structure of their legs. This structure can effectively adsorb air into the gaps of micrometer bristles and spiral nanogrooves with the same orientation, forming a stable gas film on its surface, hindering the infiltration of water droplets, and exhibiting the superhydrophobic characteristics of water strider legs at the macro level.
