As per oral record 3000 washer man families living at Barakar river bank of Jharkhand-Bihar.Barakar River is one of the main rivers found in the north-eastern part of India and is the largest tributary of Damodar River. These rural washer man’s conditions are really pitiable with low wages and absolutely depending on local sari broker. In every morning near about 20000 sari are washing & drying.
