Pictured is America`s oldest theatre, The Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was built by the Circus of Pepin and Breschard in 1909, and initially named `The New Circus`. The Walnuts Street Theatre name was first used in 1820. On October 15, 1966, The Walnut Street Theatre was designated a National Historic Landmark. It is said to be the oldest continuously operating theatre in the English-speaking world.
