A vixen in my neighborhood gave birth to 5 kits, or cubs. They are seen enjoying a warm spring morning outside the den, which is concealed behind the soil she has piled up. This is the second year she used this den, but has now moved on to a quieter spot in the surrounding forest area.The five kits enjoy playing in the spring sunlight in front of the the mound that conceals the den, amazed at the sight of the world outside.
