Pictured is a VinMec International Hospital Ambulance in Da Nang, Vietnam. VinMec was established by VinGroup in 2012. Vinmec is a leading health-care system in Vietnam with state-of-the-art facilities and advanced equipment from the world`s leading medical equipment suppliers, supporting diagnosis and efficient treatment. Vinmec is the first and only private healthcare system in Vietnam. One the side of the ambulance is a prominent red cross. The symbol of the red cross is recognized as a symbol of humanitarian aid. In wartime, a vehicle and personnel wearing the red cross symbol were recognized as non-combatants and allowed to administer to the wounded. Later civilian ambulances continued to use the symbol.
