This spectacular view is from the hilltop paradise of Schynige Platte in the Swiss Alps, and can be accessed by the cog train on the Schynige Platte Railway in Wilderswil, Switzerland. The nostalgic cog train has open carriages and the higher you climb, the better the breathtaking views of the mountains that open up all around you. Aside from the magnificent views of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau there are views of Lake Brienz, Lake Thun, Niesen, Stockhorn and Jura, and there are also alpine gardens with 600 plant species, and a panoramic restaurant. The towns of Wengen, Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald are nearby.
