Pictured is the Abu El-Haggag Mosque in the northeastern corner of Ramesses II Court in the Luxor Temple, Egypt. It is photographed from the east outside the temple. The mosque abuts the back of the eastern side of the Ramesses II 1st Pylon. The temple was built in 1400 BCE on the east bank of the Nile River in the ancient city of Thebes which is today Luxor.
