The architecturally striking building houses the Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology. It was built between 1981 and 1986 by the architect Peter Czernin. Due to its octagonal shape, the building is also called `Octoneum`, the three ring-shaped octagons octagons and courtyards on the upper floors correspond to the three public zones on the ground floor.
