The Velika Korita Soce, or the Soca Grand Canyon, is one of the most beautiful attractions of River Soca. The river has a total of 4 major limestone canyons, the largest of which is the Velika Korita. The canyon is located in the Triglav National Park, only 10 minutes from Bovec. The Soca or Isonzo in Italian is a 138 km long river that flows through western Slovenia and northeastern Italy. An Alpine river in character, its source lies in the Trenta Valley in the Julian Alps in northwestern Slovenia entering the Adriatic Sea close to the town of Monfalcone in Italy.
