Valterkalni?š, the place of the defense rampart, fortification, bastion of the former castle of the orders. Kalni?š is named after Valmieriša, ev. lut. in the name of pastor Dr. Ferdinand Walters (1801-1869). The pavilion, similar to the former one, was renovated according to the 2000 "Skatu pavilion" project by architect Ainars Markvarts. The people of Valmiera use it as a favorite place for walking and meeting.
