The Wahweap State Hatchery is the most diverse hatchery in Utah, specializing in endangered species. It is located directly in the Riverbed of Wahweap Creek. The Endangered Fish Recovery Program includes the Bonytail, the Colorado Pikeminnow, the Razerback Sucker, and the Humpback Chub. The fish are later released back into the upper Colorado River. White cliffs of Great Staircase Escalante form the banks of the creek.
