When Frank Lloyd Wright built Taliesin West in 1937 as his personal winter home and studio he added art to his architecture. Here is one of several delicate Japanese sculptures that were integrated into the rugged desert rock walls. Taliesin West is located on the Sonoran desert in the foothills of the McDowell Mountains in northeast Scottsdale.
