This sculpture decorates a rock formation above the mission church San Xavier del Bac in Tucson, Arizona/USA. It is meant to commemorate the Marian apparitions of Our Lady of Lourdes, France said to have occurred in 1858. The roses and flowers might be an indication that this sculpture is also related to >Our Lady of Guadalupe: It resembles the original icon Our Lady of Guadalupe, which hangs above the altar of the Guadalupe Basilica, Mexico City.
