James Cudworth was originally from Vermont who came to San Francisco as a 49er, and settling in what is now called the Cow Hollow neighborhood, became a dairy farmer, for which he is most remembered. When his two daughters, probably twins, were married, he had built this home for them, around 1880 as a wedding present. Although there are still many original, fine homes in the neighborhood, many have since been turned into upscale shops and businesses. As seen 16 November 2022.
