Tunka National Park is a national park in Buryatia, established by Decree of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR No. 282 dated May 27, 1991 for the purpose of protecting and organizing the recreational use of intact and diverse ecosystems of the Tunka Basin (from steppes to mountain tundra). The highest peak of Sayan — Munku-Sardyk is located on the territory of the park.
