Pictured is a traffic signal box painting by artist Karen Cox at Fire Station #1 in Grand Prairie, Texas. The box was used as the example for the Traffic Signal Box Public Art Project in 2017, with other invited artists picked to paint twenty more boxes around the city. One one side an iconic Dalmation fire dog appears to be returning a fireman's helmet to its rightful owner. On the other side, the dog is pictured by a red fire plug attached to a hose which squirts water on the side of the box. It is part of the public art collection of Grand Prairie.
