This specific piece of art is located in Thimi, Bhaktapur (Kathmandu Valley). Such communal traditional water sources are facing severe water scarcity due to encroaching settlements, other developments and most recently, the climatic effects on underground water and natural water cycles. Nevertheless, the source is still serving the local community. This is considered as an important cultural heritage. What we see in the photo are all comprise of the set of water spout, shrine and peepal tree.
