The weaver spider builders of spiral wheel-shaped webs often found in gardens, fields, and forests. The English word orb can mean circular. It is a species of harmless orb-weaver spider also known as a signature spider. It builds a web with a zig-zag resembling letters. The mature female always rests at the center of the orb with her head facing downwards. The orb has an opening at the center and when disturbed she goes through the hole and exits on the other side of the plane of the web.
