Fengyi Mountain is located about 8 km southeast of Taigu County, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, PRC. On the top of the mountain is Tianning Temple, which was built in the Ming Dynasty. Because the temple enshrines an eight-meter-high stone-carved Buddha statue, the mountain is also known as the Big Buddha Mountain. Looking down the mountain from the temple, villages, factories and farmland are in order.
