The Vendôme column is a Parisian monument located in the center of the square of the same name in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. It was erected on the orders of Napoleon I from 1806 to 1810 to commemorate the Battle of Austerlitz, then destroyed during the Paris Commune in 1871, before being rebuilt in its current form
