Pictured is an oil on canvas titled The Supper at Emmaus by Jacopo Bassano on display in the Kimbell Art Museum in Fort worth, Texas. The painting depicts Christ's miraculous appearance after the Resurrection. In the act of blessing and breaking the bread at the inn, Christ reveals himself to two of his disciples, who failed to recognize him as they traveled on the road to Emmaus. The painting was completed in 1538. The Italian Jacopo Bassano was born in 1510 and died in 1592.
