The Slytherin common room is located in the basement of Hogwarts, behind a hidden entrance that leads to the rooms under the Black Lake. The password to access the common room changes every two weeks and is usually posted on a internal bulletin board. The windows of the hall overlook the depths of the Hogwarts lake. Not infrequently it happens to see the giant squid gliding through the waters, as well as other even more fantastic aquatic creatures. The atmosphere is wrapped in an aura of mystery and an emerald light that penetrates the windows radiates everywhere, one has the impression of being in a wreck at the bottom of the sea.The furnishings of the Slytherin common room consist of black armchairs and sofas, green and silver carpets, lamps that diffuse a green light in the room which recalls and enlivens the unreal effect of this place. The only source of heat is a colossal marble fireplace, embellished with statuettes, skulls and the ever-present effigy of a snake.
