Inaugurated in June 2012 and called "London Bridge Tower", The Shard is the tallest skyscraper in the European Union at 310 meters in height. This building characterizes the London skyline. The belvedere of the building, known as "The View", has become together with the London Eye the best place to observe London from above. The View is divided into three floors – two of which are closed and one with a terrace – and offers a 360º panoramic view with a visibility level of up to 65 kilometres. The height of the lookout is almost double that of the London Eye Ferris wheel.
