The Shanghai Museum East is a new branch of the Shanghai Museum, located in the Pudong New Area of Shanghai, China. It is designed by the international architectural firm Atelier Jean Nouvel. The museum has a total area of 120,000 square meters and will house a collection of over 100,000 pieces of art, including paintings, calligraphy, bronzes, ceramics, and jades.
