The serpent of Paradise is a controversial painting made by Hugo Simberg in the lutheran church from Tampere, Finland. This is a Lutheran church designed in the National Romantic style by Lars Sonck, and built between 1902 and 1907. It is famous for its frescoes, painted by the symbolist Hugo Simberg, whom was severely criticized at that time.
