Every year there is an edition for the celebration of Brasov town, which is one of the most important cities of Romania. The most important event organized in Brasov is The Juni (youth) parade which takes place every year in Schei district of Brasov, in the first Sunday after the orthodox Easter (Toma`s Sunday). The locals together with the tourists are watching the Junii Parade, a celebration which combine pre-Christian and Christian practices celebrating the ritual of death and rebirth of the seasons. The Juni are a group of romanian horseman from the old Schei of Brasov. It is a mystery whether it originated as an initiation ritual of the young or whether it marked the only day of the year when Romanians were permitted to enter the Saxon town of Kronstadt (Brasov). Some of the costumes are over 150 years old, trimmed with up to 4,000 spangles weighing close to 88 pounds. In this picture were photographed The Red Junii, who wear one of the most beautiful costumes from all the seven groups of men.
