Second Hall or First Gallery of the Galleria Nazionale d`Arte Antica di Palazzo Corsini or National Gallery of Antique Art in the first floor of the Corsini Palace in Via della Lungara in Trastevere, Rome. The Galleria Corsini is the only collection of paintings in Rome dating from the 1700s that remains intact to this day and is displayed in accordance with the exhibition installation dating from that period. This is because in 1883, when the palace was sold to the Italian state, Prince Tommaso Corsini donated the entire collection of artworks it contained. The Palazzo Corsini was erected for the Corsini family between 1730–1740 based on designs of Ferdinando Fuga. During 1659–1689, the former Riario palace had hosted the eccentric Christina, Queen of Sweden, who abdicated, converted, and moved to Rome.
