The Netherlands, Province Limburg, City Valkenburg at the Geul: Frontage of the ancient train station, located on the track, Maastricht-Heerlen railway line, the Heuvelland line, which is now being provided by the Veolia transport company. This station is the oldest existing Dutch train station. The historic building was built with marlstones, marl blocks, and was designed by architect Jacobus Enschede. Opened in 1853. This former railway station of the NS, Dutch Railways is also used today by the ZLSM [South Limburg Steam Train Company] on the Valkenburg-Simpelveld line. It is a famous landmark, cultural heritage site, national monument and tourist attraction. In the building is a catering facility, the Brasserie Stationnerie. Outside on the terrace, some people, tourists, holiday makers take a terrace with a snack and a drink, food and drinks. A woman, traveler, walks on the station square with the architectural showpiece. On the outdoor cafe hanging flags in the masts, the Dutch and Limburg flag.
