The Obelisk Tomb was constructed in the first century BCE in Petra. It is an elaborate two story tomb carved from solid rock. Its facade is an elaborate mixture of Egyptian, Greek, Indian, and Nabataean architectural styles. Obelisk Tomb is towered by four obelisks and hence it got its name. Petra is also called the Rose City because of the colour of the sandstone.
