Whilst most of the locals were still tending their taxis and street vendors were still standing there waiting for customers to buy their street food, the issue was that there was virtually no-one flying to Phuket, which turned it into a ghosttown of closed roller door shops, empty restaurants and cafes and even emptier, often deserted hotels, which was a shame to see.
