The Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is a national memorial building located in Zhongzheng District, Taipei City, the Republic of China. It was built by the government of the Republic of China in memory of the late former President Chiang Kai-shek. The area covers an area of ??250,000 square meters. The main hall of the memorial hall is 70 meters high in front of the park square The two halls are called the Arts and Culture Square. There are also the National Theater and the National Concert Hall on the north and south sides of the square. In addition to being a place for people to rest, the square is also a venue for large-scale art and cultural activities, often hosting exhibitions and performances visits by heads of state that have diplomatic relations The Taiwan Welcome Ceremony (Military Salute) is also held here. The main buildings, avenues, squares and archways of the park are designated as national monuments by the Cultural Development Committee of the Executive Yuan (now the Ministry of Culture) in the name of Taiwan Democracy Memorial Park the east gate, parts of Zhongshan South Road and the park are named Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall It was registered as a cultural landscape by the Taipei City Government.
