The Long-Tailed Shrike, also known as the Butcher Bird, is a small passerine bird found across Asia and parts of Europe. It gets its nickname from its distinctive hunting behavior of impaling its prey on sharp objects like thorns or spikes, to store it for later consumption. The Long-Tailed Shrike has sharp eyesight and is an excellent hunter, preying on a variety of insects, small vertebrates, and even other birds.
