The Kodak Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California became the first permanent home of the annual Academy Awards for motion pictures. The first ceremonies at the venue were held in March, 2002. This photo with the Oscars paraphernalia draped around it was taken 4 days prior to the 77th Academy Awards of February 27, 2005. With the bankruptcy of Kodak, however, it is likely the structure will be renamed prior to the 2012 ceremonies.
