The image house (gedige) and dagoba at Nalanda Gedige near Matale in central Sri Lanka. The structure was built in southern Indian style but has no signs of any Hindu gods and it is believed to only have been used by Buddhist worshippers. The original structure was built between the 7th to 11th centuries, but was moved to its present location in the 1980's.
