Founded in 1873 with a boathouse where the current AT&T Park now stands, this spot at Aquatic Park is actually the third location for lt. More then just a rowing club, South End is one of the oldest athletic clubs in the Western United States, also offering handball, swimming and running. Opened to the public on a limited bases, membership does offer a full line of services. South End Rowing is literally just right next door to the Dolphin Club, which share in an annual triathlon competition of rowing, swimming and running.
