LAS VEGAS NEVADA / USA - SEPTEMBER 9 2012: The Harmon is a highrise building in the CityCenter Las Vegas development in Paradise, Nevada. In 2008, construction on the Harmon Hotel was stopped after inspectors discovered construction defects: county inspectors discovered improper installation by Pacific Coast Steel, of critical steel reinforcements after fifteen stories of the building had already been erected. The Harmon is owned by MGM Resorts International a Nevada state judge in July 2012 gave the go-ahead for MGM to implode the flawed hotel tower that was partially built but never opened as the centerpiece of the glittering $8.5 billion CityCenter project on the Las Vegas Strip.
