Hassan II Mosque is located in the northwest of Casablanca City in the kingdom of Morocco, at the westernmost end of the Islamic world. The construction of the mosque is directly related to the late king Hassan II.
One third of the area was built on the sea to commemorate the ancestors of Moroccan Arabs who came up from the sea. The whole mosque can hold 100000 people praying at the same time, which is the third largest mosque in the world.
