The church still preserves the old fortifications and defense towers: the Bell Tower, the Tailors' Tower, the Shoemakers' Tower, the Carpenters' Tower and of course the Bacon Tower, a tower in which, according to the Saxon custom from all over Transylvania, the guilds stored their bacon.
